This is the glory of the Holy Spirit, to glorify Jesus Christ. For he shall take of mine (hoti ek tou emou lêmpsetai). And, all things that the Father hath are mine. Hence learn, that, although the union in essence amongst the persons in the Trinity is the same, yet the order of their subsistence and operation is distinct: the Son being from the Father, and the Holy Ghost from the Father and the Son; For all things that the Father hath are mine; And the Spirit shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Observe farther, that these words afford a strong argument to prove the divinity of Christ: All things which my Father hath are mine. Where Christ challenges to himself the incommunicable attributes of God, and consequently that essence which is inseparable from them. Doth the Father know the secrets of all hearts? So doth Christ, All the churches shall know that I am he that searcheth the reins and hearts. Re 2:23 Is the Father eternal? So is Christ, I was set up from everlasting, &c. Pr 8:23   Family Bible Notes:  Glorify me; the effect of his teaching would be to honor the Saviour. Shall receive of mine; or, shall take of mine--shall take of the things that pertain to my person and work, which is the same thing as taking of things that pertain to the Father, since the Father and the Son are one in nature and counsel, and the Father has committed all things to the Son. These words give us one of the decisive tests by which true teaching may be distinguished from that which is false. All true teaching agrees with the testimony of the Holy Spirit in glorifying Christ.   1599 Geneva Bible Notes: The Holy Spirit brings no new doctrine, but teaches that which was uttered by Christ's own mouth, and imprints it in our minds.   People's New Testament Commentary: "All things that the Father hath are mine," and the Spirit "shall receive of mine and shew it to you."
