9:35 And Jesus went about all
the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among
the people.
9:36 But when he saw the multitudes,
he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered
abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
9:37 Then saith he unto his
disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
9:38 Pray ye therefore the
Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
10:1 And when he had called
unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits,
to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of
disease.
10:2 Now the names of the
twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew
his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
10:3 Philip, and Bartholomew;
Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus,
whose surname was Thaddaeus;
10:4 Simon the Canaanite,
and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
10:5 These twelve Jesus sent
forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles,
and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
10:6 But go rather to the
lost sheep of the house of Israel.
10:7 And as ye go, preach,
saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse
the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely
give.
1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre:
and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men
stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door,
and bowed himself toward the ground,
3 And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy
sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash
your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your
hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your
servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said,
Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes
upon the hearth.
7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender
and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.
8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had
dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and
they did eat.
9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And
he said, Behold, in the tent.
10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according
to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah
heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in
age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After
I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah
laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed
I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall
have a son.
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was
afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace
wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing
that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God
is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ
died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure
for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my
supplications.
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will
I call upon him as long as I live.
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits
toward me?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the
name of the LORD.
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence
of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his
saints.
16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and
the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and will call upon the name of the LORD.
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence
of all his people.
19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee,
O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
